Foyer Area:

As you enter the Church of Truth – Community of Conscious Living, you will be greeted by a lovely spray  painting created by  Brian Martin and assisted by  Lorna Rennie.  If you look closely, you will see two birds embedded within.

Sanctuary:

Our beautiful and sacred sanctuary is a wonderful space for pubic events, especially musical performances or concerts  (great acoustics), workshops, seminars, meditation / yoga and  private functions such as weddings, memorials and other celebrations of life.  The seating capacity is  94 people and 80 grey armless stacking cushioned chairs + 14 green stacking cushioned chairs with arms can be arranged in a variety of configurations depending on your requirements.  There are also  a variety of folding tables available for your use in the library closet.

Breakout Room

If your function should require additional space, these extra rooms may be idea for you.  It is also possible to rent any of these rooms without the large sanctuary area depending upon what other activities are taking place in the building.  Talk to our Rental Coordinator about how we can create a space that fits your needs.

Library:

The library is a small room which can be used as a public social area.   Tea and coffee plus food can be set up on top of the credenza.

A wheelled trolley is available for your use when serving tea or coffee.  Under the counter of the trolley is where the cups are stored.

Children’’s Room:

During our Sunday Church Services, this small room is used as a children’s play area.  This room can easily be used as a breakout room.  Tables and chairs can easily be set up in this room.

Quiet Area:

To the left just before you enter the Sanctuary is a cozy room which can be set up with 6 to 8 chairs.   This room can be used for small group meditations and informal group meetings / discussions.

Other Space to Make Your Function a Success

Kitchen:

Our small kitchen includes a stove, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven, dishwasher, sink, cupboards and counters.  If you rent the kitchen, this also includes use of one 55 cup coffee urn plus a smaller 30 cup hot water urn in addition to serving trays, an assortment of plates, bowls, cups and cutlery.  There are also a couple of cutting boards located in bottom cupboard by the dishwasher plus knives and serving utensils located in one of the drawers by the stove.

Washrooms:

There are three washrooms for public use (one is designated for wheelchair access) in our Church.  Two are located to the left and right as you enter the foyer area and the third one is located between the library and the kitchen.   (This washroom also has a closet where you will find a broom, dust pan and other cleaning supplies).

Closet to Hang Up Coats:

To the left between the foyer area and the washroom designated for wheelchair access is a closet which can be used to hang up coats.

Bike Rack Area:

On the west side of the Church on St. Lawrence St.  are our recently installed bike racks for public use.
